7. Rotorua and Taupo
Savour this geothermal wonderland also known as ‘Roto-Vegas’. This morning have the chance to raft over the world’s highest commercial water-fall drop: The 7 metre Tutea Falls! Or try your hand at “sledging”, “zorbing” or chill at the Polynesian Spa.

On route to Wellington we get views of several mountains – Ruapehu, Tongariro and of course, Ngauruhoe, which is better known as Mt Doom in the Lord of the Rings films. For those need an adrenalin fix, jump on the world’s most extreme flying fox!
From the quirky cafe culture to the famous Weta Studios, experience Wellington, the coolest little capital in the world.
